Trip To England 1999

Everyone who took part on this trip can remember for so long journey by bus across whole Europe or sailing on ferry. It wasn't so long ago, in 1999 in March when we packed our luggage and went away of home for a week. After 2 days journey everyone of us was happy when saw White Cliffs, famous shore of Southern England, defended by Dover Castle standing on hill above.

After short while we visited this guard of shore - Dover Castle. It was great, we have never found castle of  that condition in Slovakia. After a few hours of travelling we finaly arrived at Hastings, town - target of our journey. Hastings, place where in 1066 has  begun history of United Kingdom, has became our home for a week. We lived in families, at most in family houses.  On the next day we visited Brighton, it's famous  Sea Aquarium and Castle.

During entire week we visited many of the famoust sights such as castle where was filmed movie about Robin Hood, town Battle, Smuggler's Cave in Hastings. Every day we had 4 lessons at school, which were teached by local - English teachers. After school we  used to go together with our slovak teachers to observe sights. When we came back we had free time, we used to hang out on  beach to observe sea and have a fun untill early night. This program was repeated for a whole week untill end of our stay there.

It was morning when we packed our luggage and went towards to bus. We took leave with our "family" and got on buss to see Hastings last time. Target of our journey was clear, it was London, one day trip to finish our stay in UK. Last day was particularly sat, because it was last day. We wanted to see as much as was possible. We could be happy, because we could see overhaul of ceremony when The Queen was  putting  honour to the  flag. We saw marching soldiers towards to Buckingham Palace in full glory.

After this great show we could continue to  the famoust street in London - Oxford Street where we did some shopping. Our last stop was well-known museum of Madam Thuasad where we saw figures of the famoust people all around the world. That's it, that was end of our trip. We are enjoying to go to trip like that.
